These two days consisted of adding some flashing taillights, adding the relay and switch, rewiring the wiring connections of the electric vest I made, replacing the headlight reflector (I think this had been broken for a while but I didn’t notice until I go to the folk's cabin) which cost a bundle and then some, and figuring out how to pack it all on the back of my motorcycle.
So two long days hanging out in the garage, which wasn't a bad thing since it was snowing in Glacier National Park which was/is my first real destination and since the prevailing weather pattern is west to east the longer I waited the less I would have to deal with it and better on the plains than in the mountains.
Though I did settle on an initial route finally. I am going to run straight west to the Missouri River and picking up the Lewis and Clark trail. I’m not mentioning my route because I'm not sure what it is yet. My overall plans are to run the Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier, out to the Washington islands, down through the rainforest, along the Washington and Oregon coast and swing back up through the high desert on the backside of the mountains, through Idaho, along the Tetons into Yellowstone and then ride the infamous Beartooth highway from Yellowstone to Billings, Montana.

Here is a list of what I've packed; tent, stove, sleeping bag, 2 different mattress pads, flashlights, food for 3-4 days, minimal cooking utensils (2 wooden spoons, 2 measuring cups, 2 measuring spoons, 2 bowls with covers, an insulated cup, fork and spoon), laundry soap, alcohol (whiskey not wood), more drugs than Rexall, camp chair (an odd addition I know but it's a concession to comfort after riding all day) 3 books, AAA maps for all the states, Rand McNally maps for the states, book of camping sites that range in price from free to $12, running shoes (as if I will), long underwear, 3 pairs of socks, 2 pair underwear, 2 t-shirts, pair of pants, winter riding gloves with liners, winter hat, pillow case, rain suit, fleece jacket, Minidisc player, awesome new headphones that really cut down on the wind noise (can't hear cars anyway) some rope, batteries, 2 cameras, film, cords, mouse, laptop, memory stick, toilet paper (one never knows), ear plugs (for sleeping), Leatherman tool, Swiss army knife, gum, and
My riding wear includes summer weight gloves, helmet, leather coat with body armor, leather boots, Arborwear Tree Climbers’ pants, sunglasses, bike shorts with the sweet gel pad, usual socks and underwear, t-shirt, thermal shirt, and electric vest.
