Day 6, Image 3

Lewis & Clark State Park

Riding into this park reminded me of the KOA's that as a kid we had nicknamed Kornfields of America. And the trees were planted very carefully in rows and the campsites very close together. Luckily the tentsites had by far the best, if only, views in the park.
The river itself was only a half mile or so from where I was standing. On a normal schedule I would have gone down just to say I touched it but campsite set-up and dinner was the order for the evening, as usual.
I was glad I made it here with very little rain. Though I knew that it wasn't going to let me get away without some. And boy did I get some.
