The Rockies

Looks can certainly be deceiving as you come into view of the mountains. At first I saw the clouds and assumed they were just sitting on the horizon until I got closer and saw they were hung in the mountains. Unlike the mountains in the East US that I was used to, these were exposed stone.
Even from this distance it was easy to see the snow in the nooks and crags of the peaks. Had me a bit (tiny) worried about snow on the ground in the park. But so far I had relatively warm weather and not an actual experience of cold sleeping....yet.
